    • Aids and AdaptationsAids and adaptations are an essential part of living well with chronic illness and disability. It can be overwhelming to know which aids to choose or which adaptations might be most useful. Even more so for conditions which fluctuate or go through phases of activity and remission. By sharing honest reviews and tips, we hope to make choosing aids and adaptations easier; whether it’s for personal use at home or when requesting accommodations in public spaces.
    • BalanceThe Balance section of the blog is about finding our equilibrium.  Our health is made up of physical and mental wellbeing, which draws from a variety of components e.g. nutrition, habits, sleep quality, fulfilment and self expression, relationships, social and spiritual life, work (if we’re able to) and others. Many of these key foundation components have their own sections on the blog. Balance is vital because it’s only when we are in tune with each aspect of our health that we can fully experience wellness. In this section, you’ll find advice, reviews, recommendations and insights for helping to find balance, especially between physical and mental health. It also contains some of the more ‘fun’ posts. Working to improve our health can sometimes be hard work, so it’s important to also make time for enjoyment!

Full disclosure: I had (a lot) of help with this # Full disclosure: I had (a lot) of help with this #SelfCareSunday set-up. Having a bath or shower with an energy limiting chronic illness can feel like a military operation. And it’s beyond exhausting with hours (or even days) of recovery time.
So I was super grateful to have a fancy bath and feel like a queen 👸🏻 Also, I absolutely love the subtle, transformative scent of @rituals_uk #TheRitualOfJing so check it out if you don’t already know it.
What’s been your favourite self care this week?

We all know how it feels when things are out of sy We all know how it feels when things are out of sync. Whether it’s sleep, diet, relaxation, exercise, self care etc. And often it can spiral, pulling us out of equilibrium and making it harder to regain a feeling of wellbeing.
It’s important to recognise that no one can always make perfect choices. Sometimes we will choose what we want now over what we want long term (they can be the same thing, but often they’re not). That’s okay, it’s important to have balance.
Managing chronic illness can often mean being very self disciplined, whether that’s with what you can eat, how much energy you can “spend” or adhering to treatment plans. So it’s natural to sometimes want to be spontaneous or indulgent.
How do you keep your balance? Do you have any tips or tricks? If you feel comfortable, please share in the comments below. This is an area we’re really keen to explore.

Ad/PR Do you Spring clean? I don’t have much en Ad/PR Do you Spring clean?
I don’t have much energy so Spring cleaning isn’t top of my list but I do find that when everything is neat and tidy I feel a lot better! One of the hardest parts is finding a home for everything (especially when your home itself doesn’t have loads of storage room).
It helps to have pretty storage solutions which fit with your decor. I love my blush pink @mystackers supersize jewellery box as there’s a perfect compartment for everything with room to add new pieces. It’s also really easy to colour coordinate, (like with the zipped clutch lying on top) which helps your home look well put-together.
Stackers have a Spring sale atm (see my stories for some beautiful bargains and hit the link to browse and buy).
